2012. Karl Williams was a 25-year-old musician who wanted to break out from the east end and make it big. But life dealt him a card he wasn’t expecting. Wanting a little me time before his life changed forever, he hit up his boys and went AWOL on the trip of a lifetime. Destination: Dubai.

Karl knew it well; he had lived there before and was hooked once again with the allure of luxury, nightlife, and glamour. It has a strict reputation, but Karl says the secret is to know where to look. He had five days of freedom and a mission to make every second count, showing his best mates how to really have it large in Dubai. The next four days were a blur. The boys partied like there was no tomorrow... but in a matter of days, there would be no tomorrow.

Out partying, he claims to have met a Dubai hustler, Maz, who was drinking with a cop. When Maz offered him a deal on a rental car, Karl jumped at the chance. But in the boot of the car was a bag that would turn his whole life – and the lives of his friends – upside down.
