Charlie Ross lifts the lid on a festive tradition that always makes Christmas go with a bang! Christmas crackers have been topping our tables for more than 170 years, but did you know that they had their origins in sweet shops? Charlie also gets hands-on to create a special cracker of his own.
At the antiques fair in Malvern, two Christmas-loving teams shop for festive goodies, alongside experts Tim Weeks and Izzie Balmer. Both teams will have to meet a seasonal Charlie’s challenge, but will mother and daughter Kate and Grace win the day, or will best friends Jay and Ross clinch a Christmas victory at the auction in Lichfield?
Auctioneer Richard Winterton’s saleroom is decked with Christmas trees and tinsel, but will the bidders get into the Christmas spirit and bring some cracking profits for the teams?
