Pratham UK is a children’s education charity improving literacy and numeracy in India. Our innovative teaching programmes address children’s individual learning gaps so they can continue their education and pave the way for change, development and growth in their communities.
Meet Rupali
Nine-year-old Rupali is the youngest of 7 sisters living in a remote village in India. When she started struggling in school, Pratham offered her the chance to catch up through their holiday learning camp and to progress with confidence.
Changing lives through education
Pratham trains volunteers to run holiday learning camps in their own communities that offer children fun and interactive learning. Children are grouped by learning level instead of age to progress more effectively.
Every child in school learning well
Children love the learning journey with Pratham. We run holiday learning camps in India for less than 10p per child for four weeks. But we need your help to reach more children.
