CAT People, The Story of the Centre for Alternative Technology
Architect Chris Loyn travels to a former slate quarry in Machynlleth, Mid Wales, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of CAT, the Centre for Alternative Technology.
Founded in 1973 in a disused slate quarry in Llwyngwern near Machynlleth, The Centre for Alternative Technology, CAT, is celebrating 50 years of inspiring, informing and enabling people to achieve practical solutions for sustainability. Chris Loyn, award winning Welsh architect and devoted CAT person, tells the story of this world leading eco centre and internationally renowned environmental charity that provides training and support to help students, councils, communities and organisations across the world to take action on net zero.
