Celebrating Scotland’s classical world, Jamie MacDougall highlights the work of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in concert and other Scottish artists and ensembles.

As the RSNO throws a 70th birthday bash for Scottish composer Patrick Doyle, Jamie MacDougall plays some of his most iconic film soundtracks. Nicola Benedetti joins the SCO next month and we hear her perform Elgar’s Violin Concerto tonight with the LPO. Plus Betthoven’s Fidelio Overture and a little known Stravinsky ballet from the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Ryan Wigglesworth.
