Episode 5

The pair head to the incredible tidal outcrop of Burgh Island on the south coast of Devon, where their quarry is wrasse. As Paul arrives on the island, Bob kick-starts their trip with a huge surprise for Paul.

Fortunately for the two of them, Burgh Island has plenty of fishing spots to offer, with rocks to stand on and cast a line into the water, a sandbar to wade out to at low tide, and places to fish by boat. For this trip, their success will be dependent on the tide and water level – within hours, the beach is covered and the island cut off from the mainland, so every minute counts.
