Edinburgh Festival Special with Rianne Downey, Mike McKenzie & Luke La Volpe

Roddy Hart presents an Edinburgh Festival special with performances from Rianne Downey, Mike McKenzie and Luke La Volpe, recorded at Dynamic Earth in the capital city.

Luke La Volpe is a singer-songwriter from Bathgate. He’s grown from selling out King Tuts to playing a headline show at SWG3 in Glasgow. He drew a huge crowd at Trnsmt last year and has supported the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Tom Walker and Tom Grennan. He’s a patron of the Music Venue Trust – supporting grassroots music venues and live music’s return after lockdown and plays The Quay Sessions for the first time ahead of his UK tour.

So far this year, Bellshill's Rianne Downey has made her Glastonbury debut and sung with Paul Heaton at festivals around the UK, including Trnsmt. Rianne returns to The Quay Sessions ahead of her UK headline tour, showcasing songs from her recent EP Method To My Madness and more.

Singer-songwriter Mike McKenzie has performed his music in some of Scotland’s most prestigious venues including the Glasgow Barrowland and Edinburgh Queens Hall as well as performing at Trnsmt. He recently teamed up with PJ Moore of The Blue Nile and composer Malcolm Lindsay as lead singer for their collaboration PJ Moore & Co. But it’s in his solo guise that we welcome Mike to the Quay Sessions for his debut performance.
