Born in Brooklyn, New York, Kimberly Denise Jones, better known as Lil' Kim, was discovered by The Notorious B.I.G. and joined his group Junior M.A.F.I.A. She went on to release her debut album Hard Core in 1996, which cemented her as one of the greatest female rappers ever, with millions of copies sold.
