Clare Balding introduces live coverage from SW19 as the women’s semi-finals at Wimbledon get under way.

At this stage in 2022, it was Elena Rybakina and Ons Jabeur who both made their own piece of history by booking a place in the final.

Rybakina saw off former champion Simona Halep to become the first player from Kazakhstan to reach the singles final of a Grand Slam, while Tunisia’s Jabeur became the first Arab player to do the same by overcoming her friend and world number 103 Tatjana Maria.
