This was the era of Britpop, but Wales had its very own music scene going on. Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers and Catatonia were proudly wearing the red dragon of Wales on their sleeve and were making waves across the globe. Super Furry Animals, Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci, Feeder and Duffy also made a huge impact on the scene and we celebrate them all as we delve into the BBC archives for this compilation of great Cool Cymru performances.
With big hits such as A Design For Life, Buck Rogers and Mulder and Scully, we remember this golden age of music blasting out of Wales and onto the world stage.
