Grandfather Rights

Wales, 2064. Health and safety has everyone in its grip – apart from Calum’s grandad, who insists he can still drive all sorts of dangerous vehicles on his old driving licence.

Wales, April 2064. Health and safety’s gone quite a bit madder than now, but Calum’s grandad insists his old driving licence allows him to drive all sorts of 'dangerous' vehicles which no-one else can. That’s because he passed his test before 1 January 1997.

Calum doesn’t even want to go out of the house without a defibrillator, so the two of them have very different attitudes to risk. But Calum also wants to buy a new virtual reality snowboarding rig – and Grandad may just have the money to pay for it.
