World Child Cancer is dedicated to addressing the global inequality in childhood cancer care. We believe every child with cancer, wherever they live in the world, should have equal access to the best possible treatment and care.
Meet Cynthia
Cynthia was diagnosed with kidney cancer when she was 6 years old. Her family couldn’t afford the costs for her treatment and were told she would not survive. She lived 5 hours from the hospital so transport and accommodation were expensive.
Training Professionals
We support the training of local medical professionals and support therapists, as well as funding life-saving treatment and its associated costs, in 13 programmes across Africa, Asia and Central America.
Surviving Cancer
In Ghana, fewer than 30% of children will survive cancer compared to over 80% in high income countries like the UK. World Child Cancer has helped over 40,000 children and their families in low and middle-income countries.
