Celtic Connections 2023

Anna Massie presents a brilliant evening of folk music live from Pacific Quay in Glasgow, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Celtic Connections.

Anna is joined by the brilliant TRIP, with their powerful and distinctive sound. Forming the band as students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, TRIP draws on their members rich and diverse Celtic roots to produce their contemporary and energising sound.

Anna is also joined by flautist Jean-Luc Thomas and violinist Gab Faure, coming all the way from Brittany in France. The traditional Breton tunes are enhanced with their own compositions, influenced by their travels worldwide, creating their unique style.

Completing the line up is the celebrated duo Aaron Jones and Rachel Walker, performing tracks from their recent debut album Despite the Wind and Rain. Released in November 2022, the album features many influential, but seldom recognised, Scottish women who have shaped the world we live in today, and their beautiful compositions definitely do these women justice.
