David and Alice have their hands full with toddler twins Beatrix and Martha. They moved in a year and a half ago but have not had the time or energy to devote to their new garden. Low maintenance is key for any busy family, and the couple would like advice on how best to maintain the mature hedging that surrounds the garden. The old deck is rotten and slippery, and there’s an unusual fence separating the garden from a garden room used by the previous owners as a separate annexe.
