DrugFAM
At DrugFAM we are passionate about supporting people who are affected or bereaved by a loved one’s harmful use of drugs, alcohol, or gambling. We understand how easy it is to be drawn into the chaos that surrounds addiction and to be overwhelmed by feelings of helplessness, guilt and shame. Our aim is to help people throughout the UK find ways of coping better with their situations, so that they can regain control of their lives and focus on their own mental and physical health and well-being.
Addiction affects others

Recent research shows that almost one in three people in England have been negatively affected by the substance use of someone they know. The people who we help are parents, siblings, grandparents, spouses, partners, and friends
Sharon’s story

Sharon’s anxiety over her son’s cocaine addiction was overwhelming. After contacting DrugFAM she was given a place in a support group which enabled her to connect with and learn from others in similar situations.
Support when it is needed

DrugFAM’s team of Family Support Workers and trained volunteers deliver confidential, non-judgmental, emotional and practical support, free of charge, via a programme of support services that includes a 12-hours a day, 365 days a year telephone Helpline.
