Sarfraz Mansoor tells the story of the motortowns through more than 70 years of archive and local oral history recordings.

He also looks at the changing fortunes of Luton, Longbridge, Cowley, Halewood and Dagenham, where in 1929 Henry Ford sited the largest car prodcution factory in Europe.
