Terrible events at sea come back to haunt a tugboat captain working out of Bangkok Harbour.

When Captain Falk sets out to woo the niece of a German trader, he finds he cannot bring himself to speak to the object of his affections because he feels so ashamed of his past.

But his behaviour becomes more than just eccentric when he kidnaps the trader's ship with the girl on board...
