Nathan, an ex-pro fighter now firefighter, runs a mixed martial arts academy in Middlesbrough. He believes the training he offers to people from disadvantaged backgrounds gives them confidence to face life head on. We meet Dylan who got off to a rough start in life. As a child of mixed heritage, he suffered racist abuse growing up. Jacob, a 17-year-old with autism, suffered bullying as a young child. The film takes place in the run-up to Jacob and Dylan's first amateur boxing matches.
