From Kurdistan with Sorrow

In the last year alone 40,000 people from Kurdistan have attempted the journey to Europe to seek refuge. In November 2021, 27 of the 30 people onboard a boat trying to get to the UK from France died when the vessel sank. It was the worst migrant tragedy recorded in the English Channel. In this programme we piece together what happened and hear from the families trying to make sense of their loss.
