In the Heart of the Sea

The crew of a whaling ship battle to stay alive after an encounter with a huge whale. Action adventure based on the real-life maritime disaster that inspired Moby-Dick.

In the winter of 1820, a New England whaling vessel, the Essex, encounters a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. In the harrowing aftermath, the ship's surviving crew are pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive.

Based on the real-life maritime disaster that inspired Herman Melville's Moby-Dick.
