JJ Chalmers is at Wallyford Recycling Centre in East Lothian, with his eagle eye hoping to swoop in on quality items before they are discarded forever. A rotten garden bench, a redundant TV stand and a half-moon table all catch his attention, and with the help of designer Rachel Henderson and carpenter Bruce Faulseit, JJ sets to work transforming the pieces.
