Adam demands to know why Brian hasn’t told him Jazzer’s been offered the job at Berrow. Brian explains that’s for Jazzer himself to do. Brian had declared a conflict of interest so Neil and Martyn had the final say on selection. Adam’s cross he hasn’t time to recruit a replacement. Brian’s not in the mood for Adam’s tantrums. He doesn’t believe the demand for the fish will return. Adam accuses him of deliberate manoeuvring to force the aquaponics to close. Brian denies this, but says it’s time to spruce up the fishing lakes instead. Frustrated Adam points out Brian would never treat Alice like this. Brian counters that Alice is pragmatic, and also grounded.
Lee’s horrified to discover that the life modelling he’s volunteered for will involve him being naked. The fact Helen’s signed up to the class makes it even worse. She suggests a strategically placed scarf. Meanwhile Elizabeth notes that most of the prep Russ is doing for the class has been sorted by Freddie. Joy arrives early, keen as mustard. Elizabeth discourages her gently from doing any open campaigning for the parish council election today.
Lee’s mortified Russ hadn’t read his email stating he wasn’t willing to do the required pose naked. Helen suggests rather than cancel the class and guilt trip Lee, Russ himself should model. Elizabeth’s angry at Russ; there’s an impasse. With the class running late Joy offers herself as the model; all she’d want in return is to be able to do some campaigning. She rushes away to whip off her clothes.
