Rex may have found the answer to his prayers while Tracy tries to make a good impression.
Jazzer turns up at Grey Gables while Tracy’s working. She’s been researching topics of conversation for when she goes to Greenacres for dinner tonight. She doesn’t want to make the same mistakes as Jade. Later, at the dinner table, Tracy shows off her knowledge of Ancient Greece but then realises it wasn’t necessary. She explains to Jim how keen she is to make a good impression with him and Alistair now she’s Jazzer’s other half.
Stranded in Borchester, Lily calls on Rex and his taxi to get home. She hears about his lack of success in finding somewhere for his pigs for when the Hollowtree tenancy runs out. This gives Lily an idea and she shows Rex a piece of woodland on the edge of the Lower Loxley Estate. It’s overgrown but perfect for pigs. Rex wonders if Elizabeth will agree but Lily tells him not to worry; she’ll sort her mum.
Elizabeth is grumpy with Lily who is back later than she said she’s be. She’s missed birthday tea with her mum and Elizabeth has been occupying herself with finding quotes for some guttering repairs – not something she thought she’d be doing on her birthday! Lily makes her pitch for Rex to move his pigs to Lower Loxley. Elizabeth doesn’t like the sound of it. While it’s kind of Lily to want to help her friend, it’s not their responsibility to pick up the pieces. The answer is no.
