Can the churches really make a difference when there's trouble on the streets?
When there's violence on our streets as in recent days, it's not uncommon for the main churches to be asked what they are doing about it.
And perhaps that's a little surprising given we're an increasingly secular society where church-going is in danger of becoming a minority pastime.
