The farm next to Jim’s is up for let, and he’s excited about the possibilities. But a strident rambler and some birthday blues threaten to derail him.

Comedy following the adventures of farmer Jim MacDonald, his tractorman Donnie and his mother Mary, as they struggle against the elements - and each other - on a farm in Perthshire. Jim is a proud man, often wounded but never beaten, who cares deeply about what he does. Mary is extremely hard to please and doesn’t mind delivering home truths. Donnie is loyal to a fault and always eager to please.

In this episode, Jim tries to win some extra land but has trouble with a rambler.
