Kirsty is on a mission and Emma waves the white flag.

Emma goes to visit Chris at his forge. She wants to make amends and be there for him with parenthood imminent for both him and Alice. Chris isn’t sure about Emma also clearing the air with Alice but later Alice visits Emma at the Tearoom.
Alice and Emma make up after Alice’s previous drunken behaviour. Alice impresses on Emma that she is prioritising the baby every way she can. Emma says she can see that. They compare their pregnancy experiences and Alice asks Emma about birth. They both get teary as Emma says how extraordinary it is to meet your baby for the first time.
Kirsty tells Shula she’s no longer a person of interest to the police. She discovers that Shula has visited Philip in prison which Shula now sees as a mistake. But Kirsty presses her to visit him again. She could gain his trust and find out what happened to the lads he was using as slaves. Shula is shocked that Kirsty is asking her to use her clerical training to trick Philip into divulging information. Shula firmly tells Kirsty she cannot pursue this – it’s a job for the police. According to Shula, Kirsty needs to concentrate on her own life. They both apologise. Now Kirsty sees she has to find out the truth herself.
