For the very best in traditional music and song, join Gary Innes for Take the Floor. This week’s dance music session comes from Frank Thomson and his Scottish Dance Band. Frank recorded this great session for us back in 2016 in our Aberdeen studio.
Plus Gary welcomes the Ceilidh King himself, Fergie MacDonald MBE as special guest. Fergie was delighted to receive an MBE in the recent New Year's Honour List for his services to Scottish traditional music. Known in music circles as an accordionist and band leader, Fergie has turned his hand to various things over the years including clay pigeon shooting, running a hotel, game-keeping, red deer management, local history and more. He chats to Gary about his varied life and career and his love of music.
