Landmines kill and maim thousands of people every year. As well as destroying landmines across the world, MAG teaches communities how to spot, avoid and report the deadly threat which surrounds them. Actor Rosamund Pike has been to see MAG’s work first-hand. She has seen the fear on parents’ faces as they describe an explosion – the crippling panic of knowing that their children are playing nearby. The stories they told moved Rosamund to join this appeal.Give now and your donation will be doubled by a generous supporter until we hit our target of £50,000.
Ahmed’s Story

Ahmed was six-years-old when he brought home a metal object he thought was a new toy. In fact it was a bomb and as he played it exploded. He lost his right hand and was so traumatised he couldn’t speak for a long time.
North-East Nigeria

Landmines are not a problem confined to the past. At the start of 2020, one person every day was killed or injured by landmines and unexploded bombs in north-east Nigeria. Children need to know the dangers and how to stay safe.
Life-Saving Lessons

All donations to this appeal will fund life-saving lessons in north-east Nigeria ensuring that women, men, girls and boys know what to do if they come across a suspicious item in the ground. Children are captivated by the songs and games MAG team use.
