Episode 1
Charles Hanson and James Braxton search out antiques in Oxfordshire on their third adventure together. One of them finds a piece of jewellery that could be very valuable indeed.
We’re out and about in Oxfordshire on a new Road Trip adventure with old hands Charles Hanson and James Braxton. It’s the third time out together for these two. Charles won on both of those occasions, so he is looking to make it a hat-trick, while James is hoping to score a first victory over his younger rival. They will be taking in the sights in a 1959 MG, assuming Charles can work the gearbox!
Charles struggles with the fact that his tastes are a bit too upmarket for his £200 budget, whilst James finds a piece of jewellery that, if it’s the genuine article, could be very valuable indeed.
En route, Charles visits a collection of musical instruments and becomes a member of a particularly unusual orchestra, and James heads into the great British outdoors, complete with great British weather, to hear the history of the humble camping holiday. Then it’s time to see if they can turn a profit at auction in Didcot.
Expect banter, bonhomie and bacon butties!
