In More Detail.....

There are hundreds of small and often quirky museums, across Wales, offering visitors a fascinating incite into our local and national history. This week we discover how they contribute to our cultural life, to the rural economy and our sense of well-being. Caroline Evans begins her tour at the newly refurbished, £14m cultural hub in Brecon, Powys, called Y Gaer. With so many museums to choose from, run by some very enthusiastic volunteers we've chosen a handful to visit including the National Cycle Museum in Llandrindod Wells, the Maritime museum in Porthmadog and a social museum in Knighton.
