From pesky rodents to Jane Austen.

The irrepressible Maureen Lipman performs comic monologues in the BBC Radio Theatre, London.

Building on a monologue tradition that builds on the foundations established by the likes of Joyce Grenfell, Maureen brings her own particular brand of humour and wit to this genre.

Characters include a Northern waitress with a passion for Cliff, a widowed chef who has fallen for her Polish builder and an Australian radiologist severely lacking in bedside manner.

Producer: David Hunter

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in December 2019.
