Diamond League highlights as the 2019 outdoor track and field season heads to Europe for the first time.

The legendary Stockholm Olympic Stadium has witnessed numerous world records since it opened in 1912, and regularly attracts the sport’s leading athletes. Last year’s highlights included victories for Britain's Dina Asher-Smith and Lorraine Ugen, in the women’s 100m and long jump respectively, while Cuban starlet Juan Miguel Echevarria demonstrated his potential in the men’s long jump with a mammoth leap of 8.83m, albeit wind-assisted. There were also four stadium records during the meeting and a popular win in the pole vault by Swedish sensation Armand Duplantis, who secured a popular first Diamond League victory by clearing 5.86m.
