Adam Walton is in Bangor to meet the chemists, marine biologists and neuroscientists who’ll be entertaining, intriguing and educating visitors at the 2019 Bangor Science Festival.
In this week’s Science Café, Adam Walton looks ahead to the 2019 Bangor Science Festival. This year it's part of the Festival of Discovery which is taking place at the Anglesey showground at the end of May. The science pavilion will be curated by Bangor University which is why this week's show is in Bangor to meet the chemists, marine biologists and neuroscientists who’ll be entertaining, intriguing and educating Festival visitors.
Adam encounters chair that makes you shrink or grow like Alice in Wonderland and discovers the bizarre flotsam and jetsam you can find on beaches. He also discovers how; the leftovers from cider-making which could help solve the childhood obesity epidemic and hears about a plan to revive and secure the Welsh mussel industry.
