A concert performance of Act 1 of Wagner's Die Walkure, plus sunny Mozart and concertos by Britten & Bartok. Celebrating the BBC Performing Groups, there's a chance to hear the BBC Philharmonic's chief conductor designate in Mozart's 'Linz' Symphony and the opening act of Wagner's opera The Valkyries. Then it's the turn of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales to play an early concerto by Benjamin Britten and music by Welsh composers Huw Watkins and William Mathias
