Bobby Gillespie is in conversation with Stuart

Primal Scream’s ‘Give Out But Don't Give Up: The Original Memphis Recordings’ is a previously unheard version of their 1994 album. Bobby Gillespie joins Stuart to chat about the follow-up to their classic ‘Screamadelica’. Recorded in Memphis with producer Tom Dowd and the Muscle Shoals rhythm section of David Hood (bass) and Roger Hawkins (drums), the result was a country soul sounding album. The group and Creation boss Alan McGee didn’t approve of the finished product at the time so many of the parts were re-recorded. However the original tapes have now been found and being released for the very first time.
