Joe and Sinead head to the Bulgarian mountains to test one of the best value winter holidays. They kick off in Pamporovo, an ideal ski resort for beginners, where they try snowboarding, a husky ride and a thrilling ski-doo safari. They take an excursion to nearby Plovdiv (European City of Culture 2019) to check out the Old Town and its exceptionally well-preserved ancient theatre. They travel onto the bigger and busier ski resort of Borovets, and from there journey into Bulgaria's capital, Sofia, to take a tour of its historical city centre.
