Last season United won both league games against the Gunners, a feat they had last managed under Sir Alex Ferguson in the 2011-12 campaign. With Ferguson now retired and long-serving Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger having left in the summer, this will be the first time the sides have met without either manager in the dugout for 32 years.
