One hundred years ago, the First World War had just ended. The Safe House traces the history of the Stamford Military Hospital created at one of Cheshire's great stately homes. Its role in WWI saw nearly 300 injured troops being treated by aristocratic ladies turned nurses. This programme was first shown in 2014.
