Scotland's countryside magazine. Hour-long special in which Landward investigates the plummeting numbers of wild salmon in Scotland's rivers.
Wild salmon have swum in Scotland's rivers for centuries. But their numbers on our west coast rivers are plummeting. Many anglers say salmon farms are at least partly to blame. This booming industry is now our number one food export and employs thousands of people in remote areas. But some say salmon farms are a breeding ground for parasitic sea lice which are spreading to wild fish and killing them. Two communities - anglers versus fish farmer - are battling it out over one beautiful fish.
