The Freedom Papers (Omnibus)

Writers reflect on a modern definition of freedom. Voices include Sandip Roy, Karen Lord and Rory Maclean.

'The Freedom Papers' is a collaboration with Edinburgh International Book Festival and BBC Radio 4.

It's a pivotal point in our modern history in terms of political uncertainty and challenges to social justice.

This motivated Edinburgh's International Book Festival to commission 52 writers to explore ideas related to freedom.

In a unique take on the Book of the Week slot, we showcase very different perspectives on freedom from some of the world's most exciting literary voices, including Sandip Roy, Nicola Davies, Carmen Maria Machado, Rory Maclean and Karen Lord.

Omnibus of five parts.

Producer: Victoria McArthur

First broadcast on Radio 4 in August 2018.
