Adrian and his mother appear in the local paper and he supports her during the birth of her baby. Read by Harry McEntire.

Sue Townsend's funny and heart-breaking chronicle of a teenager now aged 15 - growing up in the Midlands in the 1982.

Adrian's mother needs money so abandons her 'young' son which ends up in the newspaper. Then Adrian has to take a taxi to the hospital, put on a mask and gown and support his mother in the delivery room.
