ShelterBox
ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and practical items to families who have lost everything through conflict and natural disasters. Sturdy tents, tarpaulins and tool kits offer ways to build a safe space to call home, and solar lights, mosquito nets and water carriers help to rebuild lives. Shelter is more than a roof – it’s the foundation for life, for family and for community. ShelterBox urgently needs to help vulnerable families living in disasters across the world.
Juhar's story

Juhar fled with his family from Myanmar, running for their
lives, leaving behind their home, livelihood and all of their belongings. At
Kutupalong refugee camp in Bangladesh, they now face a new threat of torrential
monsoon rains.

The problem

Homes are built on mud-caked hills. Landslides will tear
apart the flimsy shelters. Families who have been through so much already,
desperately need protection.

The solution

Like others in Syria, Iraq, the Philippines or wherever disaster strikes, families need heavy-duty tarpaulins, and toolkits with hammers and nails, to build strong, secure shelters. For £40, ShelterBox could provide this tangible and practical solution.
