St Patrick's Irish Flag Row

Republicans in Strabane are planning a breakaway St Patrick's day parade after the local council banned tricolours from its official celebrations.
Last week Derry and Strabane Council confirmed that flags and emblems would not be included in the council parade. A spokesperson said it was designed to make the event a "cross-community cultural celebration".
Now republican bands are to apply to the parade's commission for permission for their own march where they will be able to fly tricolours.
