Toby is left red faced, and Lynda struggles with her Lent challenge.
Ruth is furious to find Pip helping a cow who's breeched - it doesn't matter that she saved the calf; she put her own baby at risk. Pip didn't realise that she wasn't allowed in the calving shed, she thought the risks were only associated with lambing.
Later, Ruth tells Pip about the miscarriage she had - it wasn't caused by toxoplasmosis - but she was devastated. Pregnancy is complicated, Ruth tells Pip, she should know, she's a farmer.
Lynda has already begun her Lenten challenge (not to complain) is felling very pleased with herself until she speaks with Susan about the goats milk kefir idea - it had been Lynda's idea and now Susan is trying to pass it off as her own, she's not complaining though...
Alice is nervous about her forthcoming work party - it's black tie and she knows her horrible colleague Arun will be looking for any excuse to pick fault with her.
Much to Pip's surprise Toby is at the aquafit class too. He's had to borrow Rex's trunks, they're 'Australian budgie-smugglers', Rex has well and truly got one up on his brother as Toby's forced to do the class in the smallest pair of speedos.
Pip's worried about how much extra work David and Ruth are doing on the farm and so Toby offers to help out at Home Farm to take the strain. That's the second time today Toby has made someone laugh, Ruth's not sure he's up to it, and she expects David might find his offer laughable too.
