Pip's attitude causes concern, while Jill faces competition.

Pip's fed up of being treated like public property. Now that she's pregnant the whole of Ambridge seems to know her business and wants to tell her exactly what she should or shouldn't be doing. Toby too has got lots of advice for her, his head is practically spinning with all the prenatal classes and pregnancy yoga pamphlets he's been picking up.

David's putting plans in place at Brookfield, he books Eddie to cover some of the lambing shifts, and Josh will have to help out more as well. Josh is less than impressed; he's got a business to run. Pip owes him big time for this.

Later, when it's Pip's turn to discuss her findings on what new milking parlour they should go for, the family air their reservations. Josh thinks they should go bigger, expand the farm and go for a rotary system and Ruth's not at all sure they should be investing three hundred thousand pounds when Pip's got other priorities. Pip's adamant that being a parent shouldn't make any difference .

Alan's asking his parish to give up complaining for Lent, this could be a struggle but Jill's considering it.

Ruth overhears Pip and Jill discussing childcare arrangements once the baby is born. Seems to Pip, Ruth tells David, that Jill is going to be a full-time nanny. Ruth and David agree, there's no way Jill can look after a baby at her age. They've got to nip this in the bud. Pip needs to get real. And fast.
