Ian has a lot on his mind, and Kate hears some home truths.

Noluthando's surprised to see Freddie at college. Hasn't he dropped out to become a DJ? But Freddie isn't there to work, only to hang out with his mates. Noluthando is shocked to see Freddie selling drugs. And not just mushrooms, but ecstasy. Freddie insists that it's just a one-off to raise money for a brilliant night out. Later, after Noluthando has left, he phones Ellis to ask about dealing again.

David is enjoying teasing Brian about the Echo's profile of 'Borsetshire Businessperson of the Year', perhaps David could get a selfie with the 'great mogul'? Brian's not in the mood for being teased, he's just got off the phone with an old friend from DEFRA who's been filling him in about the recent government announcement concerning farmers receiving subsidies for turning land into meadows. As ever the two have quite different opinions on the matter.

Kate takes Noluthando out for coffee. Lynda has been recommending Noluthando's Xhosa steam therapy to other customers. Kate hasn't been able to find the precise technique online, and hopes that Noluthando will teach it to her. Noluthando has to admit that she made it up. Kate's upset - Noluthando could've endangered Lynda's spiritual wellbeing! Noluthando counters that Kate never seemed to care about her spiritual wellbeing. She accuses Kate of being in love with how enlightened having a mixed-race family makes her look. It doesn't reflect the reality.
