Lynda is on top form, and there is revelry at Honeysuckle Cottage.

Lexi joins Adam and Ian at the Bull's Great Escape. They also run into Robert, and agree he deserves a medal for putting up with Lynda. Adam and Ian invite Lexi back for a takeaway. They all share a bottle of whiskey. Lexi regrets missing Christmas with her girls, but always knew it would happen when she took the job at Grey Gables. Ian and Adam still don't know exactly when the process of having their baby will begin, and Ian is finding the uncertainty very wearing. Lexi remarks that perhaps, in another life, she could've been their surrogate. The takeaway arrives before the conversation can continue.

Lynda suffers from a crisis of confidence. She isn't sure the audience really understood her pantomime performance. The echo arrives, and Robert tactfully suggests that she avoid the review. However, it turns out that Tristram Hawkshaw thought she was marvellous. The rest of the cast reads it with disbelief, anticipating that Lynda will become totally unbearable. Eddie, Jazzer and Harrison plot to upstage her with some improvisation of their own. However, Lynda proves to be more than a match for anything they can throw at her. She feels that the muse has quite overtaken her, and exclaims to Robert that this could be the start of an exciting new chapter in her life!
