Bridge Farm receives a surprise delivery for Pat. Tony has bought her a pair of goats for Christmas. Pat is delighted; she's always fancied making goats cheese. But milking is an unexpected challenge. Neither Pat nor Tony can figure out the correct technique, and the goats become distressed. Tony recalls that Lynda once kept goats, and makes an urgent call. Lynda milks the goats, and promises to return tomorrow to give them a lesson. Pat and Tony are so grateful that they name the goats Lynda and Scarlett (Lynda's unexpected middle name).

Lynda still hasn't managed to win around the cast of the pantomime. After the dress rehearsal, in which she continues to pad her part, Kirsty complains to Ian and Lexi that she's a total prima donna.

Ian tells Lexi that Adam's results from the fertility clinic came back all fine . He's happy to be able to move to the next stage, but still regrets not being able to have his own biological child. Lexi tries to be positive. At least Adam and Ian still have plenty of options. 2018 might well bring their child's first Christmas.
