For the first time, in it's 25 year history, the Mid Wales Opera is taking it's tour into small-scale rural and community venues. The company is adapting big lavish productions for smaller stages, like village and community halls and giving a chance for people who live in the countryside to spend a night at the opera. The pilot tour features a newly created chamber version of William Walton's comedy classic "The Bear" performed by just three singers and five musicians. Rachael Garside goes behind the scenes of the Mid Wales Opera to find out how the touring company is reaching and engaging new audiences for opera
