In south London, Caroline and James are offered three very different designs for their alcove storage needs. Builders Martin and Mick come up with a criss-cross lattice shelving idea, Charis and Chris plan to use reclaimed materials, including old scaffold planks, and John and Simon think chunky shelves plastered into the walls should win them the job. Caroline and James have £2,000 to spend, but which builders will get to bring their design dreams to life?

In Manchester, Salma wants to get the builders in to sort out the sorry state of her driveway. It is a big job and she has got £5,000 to spend on it. The builders have three very different ideas for what should be done, but of course only one pair can win the job.
